Are you looking for the ultimate M35A2? Lt. Dan is your truck. This is a 1971 M35A2 with history. It last served in the 1st Battalion, 144th Field Artillery Service Battery (WPCESO) in Burbank, CA. Aside from the machine gun, it was never demilitarized. After being sold as surplus (painted desert tan), it was purchased by the curator of the Uncle Phil Maloof automotive museum, based in Las Vegas, NV. It was used as a rolling display at fundraising events and reenactments. After spending years searching for my bucket list Deuce, I ended up purchasing this while on vacation and had it transported 1,800 miles to Indiana by semi. -non-whistler turbo-M66 gun ring w/ cab reinforcement-movie prop 50 cal machine gun-Intercom system to speak between driver/gunner-factory winch-multifuel preheater -heater-troop seating-driver suspension seat-air-engaged transfercase-12V inverter behind the passenger seat-many extra tires and rims in various condition Throughout my ownership, Lt. Dan has been stored inside and only run on diesel fuel. The engine fires by just a breath on the starter button. It steers nice and tracks well. The air assisted brake system holds great pressure for a long time, as the buzzer won’t come on unless it sits for over a week. The horn doesn’t work and the rear canopy door is torn. I haven’t messed with the heater or intercom system. I’ve driven the truck on regular 1 hr trips each way without flaw. Of course you’ll need to plan an extra 15 minutes each trip to talk about the Deuce; everyone from teenagers to elders love it. It has been an honor to own this truck. To see a walk around video, go to YouTube and search “My Souvenirs From Las Vegas – M35A2″ Since this video I have sold the trailer & changed the tires as seen in these pictures.
