Shorty M818 Military 5-ton 6×6 Monster Cargo Truck M813 Confiq & M35a2 Bed Norsv

No Reserve !! $1.00 Starting Bid (And our guarantee that we will not cancel this auction early for a cash offer outside of eBay, as this truck is not listed for sale anywhere else – you have our word on that!) Authentic Military Surplus 1971/1991/2012 AM General M818 “Shorty”* Military 5-ton 6X6 Monster Cargo Truck With 53″ Michelin 16.00R20′s *5 Feet Shorter than an M813 with 1-1/4 times the cargo carrying capacity! 9′ Long M35A2 Cargo Bed (Shortened by 3′) on the back and 53″ Super Singles!! See more pictures and details below. We only do a few of these each year (usually for special orders), but I decided to pull another one out of our line-up for eBay since quite a few people have asking for them. NOTE: (to comply with eBay, DoD and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) Part 121): No weapons, ammunition or un-demilitarized hardware in this No Reserve Auction. COMPLETE CUSTOM RESTORATION This truck was an amazing find. It came out of El Toro MCAS (Marine Corps Air Station), so it was always a West Coast truck. And being a Marine Corps truck used at an Air Station means that it was always well maintained. We purchased it in a lot of trucks from one of the largest and most reputable suppliers of military equipment to Hollywood and the Movie Industry in general. In June of 1991 it received a complete military overhaul by the Tooele Army Depot (engine, transmission, transfer case, axles, etc.) as you can see from the below pictures. It was then sold by the military in April of 1999 when the El Toro base was decommissioned. Between April of 1999 and today, it has only been driven a total of 2,685 miles – about 15 of them by my team for test driving on-road and off-road (plus probably another 15 to 20 miles by me;-). We then tore it completely down and overhauled it yet again to bring it up to our standards and then turned it into the custom “Shorty” rig that you see below. Total document hours on this truck since the day it was manufactured in 1971 is 1,513 – and only 53,786 total miles – amazing!! We have too many hours to count painstakingly restoring this truck to make it run/look better than it did when it first rolled off the assembly line – but I can tell you we spent a LOT of time on it! In Like-New Condition! New everything – from the Upholstery, Wheels and Tires to the Injection/Lift Pump, Injectors, Brake Lines, Steering Box, Wiring, Gaskets, Hoses, Fluids and Alternator!! PLUS; Completely painted from top to bottom, undercoated AND Bed Lined THIS MONTH! We started with a stock 6X6 M818 Tractor from the military, removed the 5th wheel and tore the truck down to the frame. We then cut down a 12-foot M35A2 Cargo Body to 9-feet by removing 3-feet from the center of the bed using a laser level to make sure it is perfect and put it back together. We reinforced the welds and added additional bracing between the frame and bed so it is stronger than the original cargo box would have been. Note that this is often overlooked in order to save time, but since you lose 2 hard-point mounting brackets when you shorten the bed, we consider it a critically important modification if you plan to haul some serious cargo in the back. That means that we kept the original on-road payload capacity of 25,000 lbs in the cargo bed and a whopping 30,000+ lb towing capacity. We sand blasted the bed and custom built the spare tire holder so it would take the larger diameter Super Singles. Then the bed gets a double coat of filler/primer and two thick coats of a premium bed liner for durability and looks. We replace most of the wiring, brake lines and air lines and then turn the rear hubs so the front and rear tires track correctly (we don’t cut corners and use offset wheels – this way you can rotate your tires any time you want). Then a set of monster Michelin XZL 53 inch Tubeless 16.00 R20′s with beadlocks and custom military 2-piece wheels goes on underneath it all – the Wheels and Tires alone cost close to $7,000. While the frame work is being done, the body gets stripped while it is off the truck and the Cummins Diesel Motor gets a thorough going through. Anything that needs work is replaced with new OEM parts – not repaired. Once the frame is done, it is blasted as well and painted and the truck is reassembled. Finally, the body gets 2 coats of Primer and 3 coats of flat paint before the stenciling goes back on. The fender wells, bottom of the cab and bed as well as the engine compartment gets a thick coat of commercial grade undercoating so it will be worry-free for decades! Back together, this truck is HUGE and very capable – it would be almost impossible to get this truck stuck, and the 53 inch tires gives you a top speed increase to 65 miles an hour if you push it at 2,400 rpm’s. It will cruise comfortably at 60 MPH right at about 2,100 rpm’s. Even with the massive size of this truck though, it is surprising easy to drive. The power-assisted steering is easier than a stock 5-ton once we are done with it and you can literally turn the wheel with one finger at any speed. There’s way too much work to break down and list here, but see the more than 350 high resolution pictures below for all the details. All work was done in house. Clear Title on hand! You can register this truck immediately for on-street use in any state!! Meticulously maintained and in PRISTINE original condition. Details, Specs & Restrictions Below Please read entire description before you bid! Hard to find custom M818 military 5-Ton 6X6 “shorty” cargo conversion truck. The exterior is extremely nice, very straight (a couple of very minor dings courtesy of the Marines, but nothing big enough to bother with), recently blasted and professionally painted with Military Desert Tan Paint. EXCELLENT set of HUGE 53″ Michelin XZL’s (16.00 R20) with Bead Locks on custom 2-piece wheels! Starts well (always fires right up on the first crank) and runs great! No leaks that we can detect and everything works like it should. 9-Foot “Shorty” cargo box is in like-new condition with a new spray on bed-liner and absolutely NO major problems that we are aware of. PARTIAL LIST OF MECHANICAL THINGS THAT WE DID TO THIS TRUCK -NEW Front and Rear Axle Seals and Boots -NEW Wheel Bearings (Inner & Outer) -NEW Fuel Injection/Lift Pump -NEW Fuel Injectors -NEW Fuel Pump -NEW Steering Box -NEW Brake Lines -NEW Alternator -NEW wiring FULL Service on all Fluids, Filters, Belts & Hoses New Spray On Bed Liner NOTE THAT THE BOTTOM OF THE CARGO BED IS A WHOPPING/SHOULDER-STRAINING 60″ (YES, THAT IS FIVE FEET) OFF THE GROUND!! PERFECT FOR GROCERIES;-) Cargo Bed Dimensions OVERALL; 9′ 2” Long X 8′ Wide INNER; 9′ Long X 7′ 5” Wide NOTE: The interior floor boards, both cargo/tool boxes, the battery box and all steps are Sprayed in Bed Liner (Black) in addition to the cargo area, so they are extremely durable and easy to keep clean!! Plus, we put a painted to match non-skid surface on the top of each front fender – which is actually another high traffic area if you have every checked the oil in one of these;-). After a day in the mud with this truck, get your hose out, spray it down and as soon as it dries, valet park it at the nicest restaurant in town and have a nice dinner. I guarantee that it will be left out front waiting for you after dinner – both for the attention it will draw AND for the fear you’ll see in the valet’s eyes at the thought of trying to park it! All Six (6) tires are in EXCELLENT shape, hold air perfectly have between 95% and 100% of their tread left! And, the MATCHING SPARE is about 90% tread, so you can incorporate it into your rotation schedule. Michelin still makes these, so they are easy to find at most truck shops as well as on eBay often. Again, this truck comes with a matching Full Sized Spare – it has 90% tread I would say and it is on a matching rim, so you can not only drive normally if you ever do have to swap it for a flat, but you can incorporate it into your tire rotation schedule so they will always be a matching tread tire for you to use should you need it!! We modified the spare tire holder so you can take it with you anywhere and not have to worry about giving up cargo space in the cargo bed. INTERIOR AND ENGINE ENGINE COMPARTMENT SOME MORE PICTURES And Last but Not Least (since we spent almost as much time under this truck as we did on it or in the engine compartment;-) – The Undercarriage has also be stripped, sand blasted, prepped, undercoated and painted to look as new as it was when it rolled off the assembly line… ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM AREAS THAT WE ARE AWARE OF – AND WE HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY THROUGH THIS TRUCK INSIDE AND OUT! Ready to go to work (or PLAY;-) for you immediately! NOT A COUPLE OF GUYS MESSING AROUND PART TIME… We’re a professional full time shop and an approved Defense Contractor for DoD that ONLY works on Military trucks. We’re also a Level III Staging Area for FEMA with a BOA on file for more than 8 years. With 13 full time employee’s, an annual operating budget in excess of $8 Million (Gross Sales of more than $41 Million in 2010 and a run rate of $54M in 2011), more than 45,000 square feet of shop space at 3 different locations, two (2) acres of secure yards at 2 separate locations and a track record of excellence since 2003 with an annual volume of more than 400 vehicles, you will not find a more capable company or a group with more specialized knowledge of these vehicles than us. We do all work in house – with the exception of driveshafts and springs, nothing is sent out and no corners are ever cut. I drive every single truck we manufacturer after my mechanical and paint teams each sign off on it to ensure that it is perfect for you. Here are a few pictures of our team in action on several different trucks for a glimpse into our main shop where most of the engineering and mechanical work and all of the paint is done; ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AND IF YOU NEED SHIPPING SERVICES – NO ONE HAS MORE EXPERIENCE SENDING THESE TRUCKS ALL OVER THE COUNTRY THAN WE DO!! M35a2 Duece And A Half With Winch 1974

This is a M35A2 (WITH WORKING PTO WINCH). Truck hasabouth 30,000 miles on it and has VERY LITTLE surface rust and NO pitting that i can see. Some of the paint has peeled off and looks like rust in photos but but isnt. The bed does have some rust but again nothing bad. I drive this truck daily back and forth to work and love it. I need the money more than i need the truck. The insurance cost me a whopping 115.00 dollars a year and the tag cost me 20.00 bucks a year. Tires are getting low on tread but the truck comes with two new tires that are in the bed. The truck has the bows for the tarp and there is also a tarp that comes with it but i think its starting to see some age on the tarp., It is a soft top but keeps me dry in the rain. This truck unlike some of the others does have the shock in the drives seat which makes it nice on those bumpy roads. You will see spots every now and then from the motor or transfer case but not all the time. NO OIL PUDDLES or anything like that. I think our 2001 Fords leaks more then this truck. Oil was changed about 800 miles back. Truck is solid and multifuel. Burns Reg gas, Motor oil, Kerosene,Transmission fluid and just about petroleum based according to info on the web. They do want you to mix at least 25% diesel fuel with the other fuel or fuels that you added to the tank. This is also something they recommend doing only in an emergency. Either way, end of the world, Economic collapse or worst case scenario this truck should meet your needs in getting all your supplies at one time to a place of safety. There are cargo bench seats that fold down in the back as well. The truck also comes with a master cylinder that was thought to be needed to be replaced but turned out it was air in the line. So now you have a backup. There is also a air filter that will come with the truck as well. I will not sell to ANYONE OUTSIDE THE U.S NOR CAN OR WILL I SELL TO NON U.S RESIDENCE. Any questions or need any photos feel free to call me at 404-597-4776 and ask for Rich. The truck is also listed locally so act fast. My Skype is acting up on my phone but if your download Tango on a smart phone call me and i can show you the truck through a live video feed and show the truck better and fire it up for you. GOD bless. Posted with the eBay Android app

1971 Am General M35a2 Custom Crew Cab W/ 2012 Complete Rebuild 4×4 One Of A Kind

Up for sale is a fresh completely rebuilt 1971 AM General M35A2 cargo truck. We are the premier custom builder of the crew cab conversion of these type of trucks, I have done several. The 4 door truck was never offered by the military, so we custom build them so you can haul your family or 6 of your buddys around with plenty of room. if you want something to stand out this is it. These make good advertisements for business, this is the thing to have if you want noticed. The truck started as a clean 6×6 truck I picked up from Texas. I have several 2.5 tons in stock, I always use the best trucks for these builds. There must be absolutly no rust for me to do one. The truck was stripped down to the frame. All parts get sandblasted, primed and painted. I used a clean rust free donor cab for the back cab, and a clean rust free 9′ M105 bed. This is all sitting on a full length set of 6×6 frame rails. Almost every part on this truck is new and/or rebuilt, here is a list of some of the items. New virgin crate Hercules LDT-465 Turbo Diesel engine with all new accesories like: New Whistler turbo for that unique sound New Injection pump New water pump, hoses, and radiator New clutch, flywheel, pressure plate and rebuilt 5 speed manual transmission Transfercase rebuilt New front Government rebuilt crate axle Rebuilt rear axle All new heavier built driveshafts front and rear New custom 6″ full lift springs, no blocks used in rear. Front axle is set forward 1.5″ for better looks and clearence 4 brand new 53″ tall Goodyear AT-2A 16.00-R20 tires 4 brand new 2 piece bolt togther 20×10″ wheels New set of AVM lockout hubs for front axle. New custom power steering setup, you can turn the wheel with one finger. New front and rear LED stop, turn and park lights New front headlights Winch rebuilt New steel hardtop for cab with new headliner 2 New bench seats with new militray stlye seat belts Matching green bedliner coating sprayed inside cab floor, side steps, chains, and bed of truck. New factory militray coolant cab heater installed inside cab for better heating. All gauges are new, along with steering wheel, data plates, etc… All new glass and frames for all windows front, rear and side doors. All new rubber for windows, channels, felt, etc.. All new door latches, handles, window regulators, wiper motors, arms, etc… New custom intake snorkel There is many other items not listed, like all the fasteners are new, and all the other things that take to long to list. This truck was built in 1971 and overhualed in 1985 By the government, then it was rebuilt by C&C equipment in 2012. As you can see I do not cut corners on a truck like this, This is by far the nicest crew cab out there and proably the nicest M35A2 around in any form. I stock all the parts for these type of trucks. Everything you see on this truck I sell here on ebay. We pay attention to the details and try to make everything look like a factory built unit. The body on this truck is perfect and has over 8 gallions of paint on it. The 6″ lift springs and 53″ tall tires give it that killer stance that grabs attention. If you want to be seen this is the truck for you. The whistler turbo sounds great and it will anounce its presence if they don’t see it. The truck starts and runs great and has no leaks. It drives fine down the road for a big truck, just don’t expect it to ride and handle like a caddy. The power steering takes the work out of turning the steering wheel. You can turn the wheel with one finger stopped in place. This truck has the updated 2 speed air shift transfer case in it also. The stock cabs in these trucks did not have much room for a big driver. Now there is plenty of room in the front and back for the biggest and tallest of drivers. If you want the biggest and baddest truck on the block this is it. Don’t miss out on the chance to own this ride. I only do about one of these a year. We have hundreds of man hours in a truck like this. This is a totaly new truck. It may have a couple hundred miles on it from me test driving it. I am firm on the price, I am not in a bind to sell the truck so don’t expect to by it for nothing. You have to come see the truck in person to really appreciate the craftmanship that goes into it. I have a clear Indiana state title in hand. I can ship this truck to you in the lower 48 states for $600-$2500 depending on where you live. Call me at 812-336-2894 almost anytime. I have built over 50 custom 2.5 ton trucks with only a handfull of them being crew cabs. I doubt you will see another one in your town. I stock all the parts for these type of trucks and have over 25 trucks in stock if you need something custom built Any questions call me or send me an email.
